SEO Whisperer

Got an email from a Public Relations firm in Los Angeles today. President and CEO said that another PR firm that I help had mentioned me and that they used me to get on the front page of Google…

Next day, we talked on the phone and while we were talking, she made the comment.

“So, I heard about this Georgia company while in Los Angeles… You must be the SEO Whisperer.”

I was flattered. Here was a public relation firm in the second largest city in the USA…
hearing about our SEO company in little town of Athens, GA.

Needless to say, flattery gets me every time and now I’ll help them with their adwords campaign and hopefully live up to the title- SEO Whisperer. : )

I started wondering… what did it mean to be a whisper and then I found this definition:

Basically, the term is used to refer to someone who has a natural or mysteriously effective way of dealing with something.

And I liked it.   Mysterious? Maybe not. But natural? Not really sure about that one either. Much more about blood, sweat and tears for the last 10 years to learn my trade.
Are we good at it? I like to think… one of the BEST!  : )

I enjoy working with small companies who have burned by the large companies. You know, the ones who over-promise and under-deliver.

After following these guys, its easy to blow my clients away. How? By doing what I said I would.

So… here’s my challenge. And I’ll lay it out there for the world to hear-

IF I’m the SEO Whisperer – Can I rank on the first page for it?

Well- Stay tuned and I guess we’ll find out. : )

So, I’m in bed and its 3:43 am and I’m thinking about going to BNI group in 3 hours and I thought to myself. I’m going to get up and give my 45 sec spill on what I do for a living.

Then… I’m going to talk to them about why they need to be at the top of Google and does it really matter. And WHY? Why do you want to be at the top of Google?

Well… as a business, the first thing that comes to mind is being at the top of Google gives you more customers. More traffic. More visibility.

For example… Let’s take it to the personal level and have a little fun with this. I have 3 hours before this meeting.

WHAT if I wanted to stand up and say… Search.

And my goal was to be the one at the top… What would I do?

Hmmmm…

I’d put up a post like this and then do my magic…

So, I’m at the top of Google for Coolest Guy in Athens

How could I use that?

Imagine this:

You’re sitting at a bar and a cute girl sits beside you. You strike up a conversation and you can tell quickly… I am over my head. This girl is WAY past my pay grade. lol

Watch the shift… and remember… everyone is drinking.

Girl: “So, what do you do?”

Me: “Oh, you haven’t heard? I’m the coolest guy in Athens.

Don’t believe me… Google it… Coolest Guy in Athens

So, the girl searches it… and who is at the top of Google?

: )  You already know the answer. Laughing

Now, I’m having fun with this but the truth is when you are in business, being at the top of Google gives you credibility. Gives you trust.

Imagine that you are looking for a plumber in Athens and you search and the first position is ACME plumbing company not only that but this company has 12 reviews from past customers saying how great this business is. Do you know how important this is?

Do you know how much ahead of the curve you are than any other plumbing company? HUGE…

Well… as the COOLEST GUY IN ATHENS…

This is what I do for local businesses and I LOVE IT.
